Holidays are an adventure at our house. Easter is no exception with the abundance of sweets and chocolate. While I agree that some candy is fun, this year I plan to change up the easter routine by setting up an in-house scavenger hunt. The kids get a map from the Easter bunny, leading them to their first clue (hidden inside a dollar store Easter egg). The kids hunt for eggs and clues throughout the house, which eventually lead them to their treat. Here are some of the treats that we have included:
An experience. From a homemade coupon to go to the movies, to a pass to bake cookies with Dad—or any other experience that creates wonderful memories.
An Activity. A craft, a book, or even play dough are always a hit.
A Game. Board game or video games are super ways to build skills and entertain your kids.
An outside toy. Soccer balls, skipping ropes, chalk, or bug a catcher. Spring is a perfect time to get outside and play.
Books. Start a collection of Easter and Spring themed books to enjoy every year.
